Mitchell S. Nudelman, MD, JD, FCLM
Mitchell S. Nudelman, MD, JD, FCLM, has been the Chief Medical Officer of Medical Director Solutions, LLC, since 1998 when he founded the company.
Dr. Nudelman, who practices both administrative medicine and law, is Board Certified in Family Medicine and a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine since 1987, and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians. Dr. Nudelman holds active and unrestricted medical licenses in Georgia and Florida, and has been a member of the Georgia Bar and in good standing, continuously since 1991. He is honored to be a Fellow of the distinguished American College of Legal Medicine. Fellows of the American College of Legal Medicine have been trained and schooled in medicine and/or law, and the vast majority holds both MD (doctor of medicine) and JD (doctor of law) degrees.
For the better part of 20 years he has worked a very wide range of cases involving medical care issues and other medical legal matters, which often involve multiple medical specialties and complex medical facts. Dr. Nudelman’s insider experience with defense counsel, insurance carriers, and employers in such areas as WORKERS’ COMPENSATION, DISABILITY, and GENERAL LIABILITY has given him invaluable insight.
His credentials and diverse roles include the following highlights:
- Board Certified in Family Medicine since 1987, and recertified by written board examination every 7 years since. He has practiced administrative and legal medicine continuously since, licensed in both Florida and Georgia.
- Attended the University of Miami School of Law at night while practicing medicine during the day, graduating in 1991. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, where he has practiced law continuously since 1997.
- Chief Medical Officer of Medical Director Solutions, LLC, the company he founded in 1998, and which has provided medical director consulting and peer review services to hundreds of insurance carriers, law firms, employers, third party administrators, case management companies, and others throughout the country.
- Served as the sole Authorized Medical Peer Review Physician to the Georgia State Board of Workers’ Compensation for more than a decade from 1998 to 2010.
- Medical Consultant to many major insurance carriers, including but not limited to The Hartford, Travelers, Canada Life Assurance Company, and Jefferson Pilot during which time he reviewed thousands of cases in WC, disability and group health.
Dr. Nudelman also has vast experience locating, retaining, and then preparing expert medical witnesses. His unique education and training in both law and medicine enable him to help litigation teams navigate extremely complex medical-legal cases, even cases with pressing, rapidly approaching deadlines.
As an authority on credentialing, he knows what makes these witnesses credible and reliable, and what’s required to ensure that they meet the Daubert standard for medical evidence and expert testimony. During the course of his long career, Dr. Nudelman has developed an extensive network of board certified physicians to consult on cases. As a long-time Fellow of the prestigious American College of Legal Medicine, he has access to more than a thousand of the most formidable dual degreed doctor-lawyers throughout the country, with subject matter expertise on almost every topic.

Over the past 15 years Medical Director Solutions has developed an excellent and diverse panel of medical and other related healthcare providers [e.g., licensed Chiropractor, Speech Pathologist, PhD level Psychologist] to serve our clients needs. Many are medical university affiliated, dual degreed, or otherwise come from practices known for exceptional quality of medical care in their own communities.
As part of our effort to provide reliable and credible medical opinions, each medical peer reviewer is fully credentialed, HIPAA compliant and of course Board Certified in their chosen field(s) in one of the 24 approved specialties by the American Board of Medical Specialties.
Credentialing criteria include (but may not be limited to):
- National Practitioner Data Bank (reportable medical malpractice judgments, or professional competence and conduct incidents-e.g. adverse licensure action)

Every effort is made to assure that the file is reviewed by the most appropriate consultant right from the start, in triage.
